Who could imagine a background in taxation, auditing and business planning would lead to my career as a fashion designer? And who could foresee how perfectly that would prepare me to be Results Physiotherapy CFO?

I  graduated in Commerce from the University of Queensland, and then worked as a qualified accountant. But soon, my love of color and fabric drew me to launch my own fashion label and to build a retail business in Australia. That entrepreneurial experience taught me the necessity of wearing many hats.
So when my husband and I decided to open our first Results Physiotherapy clinic in Tennessee, I was ready. Not only did I set up the billing, payroll and operations systems, I also served as a therapy tech and happily did the laundry. Watching our physical therapists at work, I saw the immediate soothing comfort they brought to our patients, and I saw the relief in people’s eyes. From then on, I understood how rewarding that could be.
From the first, I wanted our clinics to be fun and upbeat, both for the staff and the patients. So, wearing my designer hat, I chose cheerful colors and casual furnishings to help people relax. “Live, laugh, love,” that’s what I tell our staff. Laughing is a big part of recovery, and when you combine laughter with listening and caring, people feel the difference.
Today, I handle all aspects of financial management for the company. We now have clinics across the state, and I’m pleased to say that, as we’ve grown, we’ve maintained our fun, family-oriented culture.  In every clinic, I still sense the enthusiasm for taking care of people. And yes, I still wear many hats, one of which is social director. I love planning our holiday party, and every year, our people come from all over Tennessee to be together and celebrate.
I am extremely proud of the company we’ve built. We provide excellent physical therapy, developed through education, knowledge and passion for what we do.
