After growing up in Middle Tennessee, I attended Loma Linda University in Southern California where, in 1995, I earned my Masters of Physical Therapy. I’ve practiced outpatient orthopedic therapy ever since, but I didn’t understand the benefits of manual therapy until my wife’s ruptured a disc in her low back.
For months, she tried “traditional” physical therapy with no relief in her symptoms. I felt frustrated because I couldn’t take care of her, and  she was facing surgery when a colleague told us about the manual therapy approach. We tried the treatment, and it brought her so much relief that she was able to avoid surgery. Now she’s completely symptom free. She has run a triathlon and delivered three children!
After seeing what this approach did for my wife, I made the decision to pursue my Certification in Manual Therapy, and in 2004, I became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.  Five years later, I received my Doctorate of Manual Therapy, and I was awarded the Tennessee Physical Therapy Association Clinical Excellence Award (www.tptaonline.com) For the past decade, I’ve taught other therapists the manual therapy approach, both locally and nationally.
For a while, I had been hearing good things about the quality manual therapy performed by Results Physiotherapy. Patients and therapists assured me their practice was different. Obviously, I became interested, and we developed a mutual respect for each other in the marketplace. So when the opportunity came to join their company as VP of Education, I seized the chance to combine my training, teaching, and clinical experience to provide education for all of our therapists.
Our clinicians commit to a demanding education process, consisting of focused training sessions, one on one mentoring, and weekend intensive courses to continually refine their skills. My role within the company is to ensure that every single patient at every location is provided world-class therapy. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to work with so many talented and motivated therapists.
