My clinical experience as a licensed physical therapist began in a sports-medicine clinic in my home state of Kentucky, where I provided post-operative treatment to high school and collegiate athletes. This setting offered an excellent opportunity to hone my skills, but it didn’t support my interest in non-surgical physical therapy approaches. I wanted to focus on restoring function without invasive surgeries or drugs. So I pursued a career change and additional specialty training.
At Shenandoah University, I earned my Masters of Physical Therapy in 1998, then my Clinical Doctorate in 2004. During my clinical rotation, I was fortunate to train with leading manual therapists certified by Stanley Paris and Robin McKenzie. I now hold board certifications in orthopedics, ergonomic assessments and manual therapy.
These days, therapists across the state call me with clinical questions, and I’m happy to help. I feel passionate about serving this profession. I’m active with both the Tennessee Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association. I have presented papers nationally on various manual therapy topics, therapy coding, and I’ve contributed to numerous peer-reviewed journals.
In 2002, I joined Results Physiotherapy because of their reputation for outstanding manual therapy.  Since that time, we have continued building on that tradition. My role as VP of Clinical Operations is to oversee our clinical team and to ensure that our therapy meets world-class standards. We give our patients a viable, evidence-based, and cost effective option for treating their musculoskeletal problems without an endless dependence on medications and risky surgical interventions.
I’m proud of our culture and the service we provide. Our therapists are keenly committed to clinical excellence, and this benefits our patients, our referring physicians, and the communities we serve.
