AQUATIC THERAPY
Aquatic Therapy allows the initiation of exercise programs in situations where acute or chronic pain/disease limits a patients ability to tolerate exercise/strengthening/conditioning on land. The warm water associated with aquatic therapy allows therapeutic benefits for many pathologies such as various rheumatoid conditions, osteoarthritis, and various acute and chronic conditions. The use of floatation devices and other tools allow for manipulating the properties of the water to obtain a target therapeutic effect such as resistance for strengthening, or reduce weight bearing.
