OHS
Occupational Health Services - Results Physiotherapy Centers has international expertise and experience with the management of occupational health injuries. Our experience ranges from caring for the injured worker of small companies of 10-20 employees to on-site therapy management of factories with 6,000+ employees.
The comprehensive clinical training of our physical therapists in evaluation of functional impairments and our sports medicine approach to treatment is the ideal model for treating the injured worker. This allows us early intervention of treatment to the injured worker and reduces functional limitations, thus reducing costs, disability, and time away from work. Our current outcome data for treating the injured worker exceeds national averages for all musculoskeletal injuries.
- Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs)—Standardized examination which objectively determines what the safe physical abilities are for an injured worker who has reached their maximal medical improvement (MMI). The FCE is often tailored toward the specific essential job duties of an individual.
- Work Conditioning—Results physiotherapist design an intensive, work-related, goal-oriented conditioning program designed specifically to restore systemic neuromusculoskeletal functions (eg, joint mobility, muscle performance (including strength, power, and endurance), motor function, range of motion (including muscle length), and cardiovascular/pulmonary functions (e.g. aerobic capacity/endurance, circulation, and ventilation) as described by the APTAs guidelines. The objective of the work conditioning program is to restore physical capacity and function to enable the patient/client to return to work.
- Ergonomic Assessments—Results physiotherapy centers offers ergonomic assessments which utilize the NIOSH standards to identify risk factors and/or hazards for musculoskeletal injuries specific to various job sites. The data gathered in an ergonomic assessment can then be used to determine the solutions to the hazards and risks identified utilizing scientific and engineering principles to improve the safety, efficiency and quality of movements involved in work.
- Other OHS Services—Post offer screenings, job-site analysis and job coaching.
